Clarence J Evans, or otherwise known as Jedi from the group Redemption, is our On Air Personality for Gospel Sunday. He started as a volunteer with WXRJ, continued on with writing PSAs and soon was given the position with Gospel Sunday. A graduate of Illinois State University, a husband and recent father, Clarence J continues be a voice for WXRJ. He now resides in Naperville, IL with his wife Nicola and 4 Children: Joharri, Yisrealah, Isaiah and newborn Cayden.
Gospel Grooves Sundays 5:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Terevá Parham is the host of “Gospel Grooves with Tereva,” Sundays from 5:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. She starts the Gospel Sunday programming with a solid mix of multi-decade Gospel hits, as well as music from independent and local artists. Her charismatic and informative dose of Gospel industry news and local events keeps the local community connected with what’s happening and hot beyond Central Illinois. Terevá has a background in Gospel music that stems from her childhood of being raised in church. Her love of music was continually nurtured through school and
church groups and choirs. Although she is a Gospel artist, Terevá is influenced by a
variety of genres.
While in school for a bachelor’s of Music Business from Illinois State University, Terevá began working for WXRJ 94.9 in 2008 as the Managing Assistant. She eventually became the host of her own show and Production Coordinator for the
“What’s Going On” program.
